QUALITY PAYMENT PROGRAM (QPP) / MIPS &
HOSPITAL EHR INCENTIVE PROGRAM CONSULTING

READY TO CHAT?

The CMS Quality Payment Programs (QPP) and Hospital Promoting Interoperability (PI) (and a long list of others) are incredibly complex and require a deep understanding of federal regulatory requirements, health information technology capabilities, participatory strategy, organizational coordination, and ROI to achieve success.

MAVIN has been involved with the EHR Incentive Program and various quality programs, with hospitals and clinicians, since inception. Remember "Meaningful Use"?

Yes - we're talking about that.

But why is regulatory involvement longevity important?

  1. We know the history of the regs and what they've been leading up to, and the goals of the powers that control all of it.

    • We've read all the federal register publications affecting these programs since 2008.

    • We participate in CMS feedback.

    • We educate our clients on what is coming so they can budget, have discussions with their vendors and plan. We don't like dumpster fires.

  2. We know the history and future of HIT. Educating ourselves on the HIT roadmaps and technical/developmental requirements of your systems is one of our critical jobs. This includes CEHRT Editions, ONC/ACBStandards fot HIT, Cures Act, Information Blocking, InteroperabilityTEFCA, and the list goes on . . .

    • We know what your system needs to do, the rules it needs to follow, how it must communicate, and what it must deliver to you.

    • We work closely with HIEs, as well as HIT developers and have seen "behind the curtain" - a vantage point that other consultants don't have. This gives us an analytical and technical advantage. (read: our brains work a bit differently).

    • Bonus: We talk "developer language" which helps ease the communication burden between the EHR user and vendor.

  3. Our longstanding participation in this particular sandbox gives us the keen ability to communicate the clear "why" and ROI of participation (or lack thereof) to all stakeholders.

    • These programs affect your bottom line. They require dedication and coordination from many departments. They tax your staff. They require strategy based on rules that change annually.

We pride ourselves for our "boots on the ground" approach, recognizing organizational, personnel and HIT challenges from the get go and quickly creating a culture that empowers change-makers, vilifies scarcity mindset and de-centralizes the quality strategy to accomplish your participation goals. Together, we interpret the measures, help you understand workflows that translate to data points, and teach you how to assess reports and analytics with ease.

Last but not least, MAVIN Consulting has a host of external resources and tools at our fingertips that give us leverage to provide the best advisement and successful outcomes for our clients.

Do you need an expert to start with you at the beginning (sans man-splaining)?
